reminds you that the exhibition "FROM PICASSO TO KOONS: the artist as jeweler"
will be open till next February 23rd, 2014
at Hangaram Design Museum in Seoul Arts Center (Seoul, South Corea)
www.sac.or.kr
The exhibition of more than 200 works by international artists is an intimate, often
whimsical side of some of the greatest artists of recent times, each offering a
singular vision of adornment. The exceptional and little-known works of wearable
sculpture will reward viewers with new insights into the creative wellsprings of
such artistic giants as Valerio Adami, Arman, Ben, Louise Bourgeois, Georges Braque,
Pol Bury, Alexander Calder, César, Giorgio de Chirico, Jean Cocteau, Max Ernst,
Lucio Fontana, Alberto Giacometti, Raymond Hains, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst,
Anish Kapoor, Jeff Koons, Julio Larraz, Fernand Leger, Roy Lichtenstein, Lim Dong-Lak,
Fausto Melotti, Yue Minjun, Yoko Ono, Pablo Picasso, Fabrizio Plessi, Man Ray,
Tomas Sanchez, Turi Simeti, Daniel Spoerri, Mauro Staccioli, Frank Stella,
Jeacques Villeglé, etc
French Diane Venet first became fascinated with artist-made jewelry when her-then-beau
sculptor Bernar Venet rolled a thin piece of silver around her finger to form a
wedding ring.
This exhibition was already shown in Roubaix Museum in France, MAD in New York,
Benaki Museum in Athens, IVAM in Valencia and BASS Museum in Miami.
